Product description

The Trekker Low 2.0 builds on its predecessor—a tried-and-true low-cut outdoor shoe—and takes its functionality a step further. We’ve retained the durable leather upper and the anatomical Realfoot shape, but we’ve focused on greater stability when walking on rough terrain, a more comfortable stride, and better moisture management. The result is a versatile barefoot shoe for hikes, light hiking, and everyday wear.

  • TerrainGrip Outsole – A 9mm flexible outsole (5mm base + 4mm tread) with a more pronounced tread pattern provides better traction on forest trails, unpaved surfaces, and wet terrain. It also offers greater cushioning and comfort when walking outside the city.
  • Functional membrane – it breathes better and helps wick moisture away from inside the shoe, while also limiting moisture penetration from the outside.
  • Water-repellent design – the upper, combined with the membrane, helps protect the foot when walking on wet grass, damp terrain, or in light rain. This model is water-repellent, not fully waterproof.
  • Durable leather upper – this natural material is suitable for everyday wear as well as outdoor activities and, with proper care, retains its properties over the long term.
  • Low-cut design – allows the ankle freedom of movement and makes this model a versatile choice for year-round wear, travel, and active pursuits.
  • Gusseted tongue—seamlessly attached to the upper on the sides, it helps better prevent dirt and moisture from getting inside.
  • Realfoot anatomical shape—the distinctive wide toe box provides ample space for all five toes, including the little toe. The toes can spread naturally and engage actively while walking.

We designed the Trekker Low 2.0 as a versatile outdoor barefoot shoe for anyone who wants to combine natural foot movement with greater confidence and comfort when walking on rough terrain. Thanks to its low-cut design, functional membrane, and TerrainGrip outsole, it’s suitable for everyday walks, day trips, and light hiking.

My second review, this is a seven(7) star hiking “shoe-boot” ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💯 comparing it with my older model, trade pattern traction is absolutely outstanding👣, and more space for the big toe to move outward, the leasing system is about the same, WHEN SNUGGLED DOWN-IT LOCKS THE HEEL-IN “but the shoe definitely feels and is a little more” HEFTIER AND SLIGHTLY MORE RIGID, nothing that would interfere with normal walking, it doesn’t feel suppressed when I kneel down my toes do not move-slide forward in the toe-box front area, because the leasing, secures the foot back in the heel cup, where it supposed to be, because the leasing holes are spaced, adequately and strategically, to give a good lockdown on top of the “end-step” when my foot sits down-inside of the outline of the last-it sits slightly lower in the anatomical outline, when so when making quick lateral moves-your foot🦶🏽does not “bulge over the edge”. Which is excellent for Boulder hopping‼️ as soon as I save my money up, I’m going to get a couple of more pairs,🫡🇺🇸👍🏼

This new design is most anatomical and ergonomically designed to fit a range of normal human healthy feet, the new toe cap has been recessed’ and takes away from the so-called” CLOWNISH LOOK” I ordered size 46, which is the same size is my original ones I’ve had for about 2 years, they fit the same as far as the length, but there’s more structure and stability and positive grip, with more of a oblique slightly boxy look, less rounded, more professional, looking-as a classic hiking boot THIS WOULD BE AN EXCELLENT BOOT-approach shoe. I will be using in the white mountains of northeast United States for Boulder, hopping and patrolling the White-mountain ranges, everything was accurate with my order and considering the logistics of global travel and customs. Everything went relatively smooth from the time I ordered until the time I put these on my feet was less than two weeks.(as soon as I save my money up I am going to get the high top:)

This was my second pair of realfoot. I have usually very big halluxproblems but with these shoes it feels great. Plenty of room for my toes.

The Realfoot Trekker Low 2.0 (Light Brown) is my first pair featuring their redesigned shape, and it is a perfect 10/10 fit for my plateau-shaped feet. My main issue with the original shape was the big toe taper, which this new design fixes.
While I haven't tested the new TerrainGrip sole on challenging terrain yet, it looks significantly grippier than the original sole, which used to struggle in wet/icy conditions on some surfaces. Note that this new sole is thicker and considerably stiffer than the 1.0, so it might not appeal to those seeking a true barefoot experience.
In person, the light brown shade seems slightly darker than it appeared in online photos. I’m happy with this, as I was already planning to treat the leather to darken it.
If my autumn hikes go well, I definitely plan to buy the high version for winter.
The only thing holding me back from buying more in the new shape is the UK import duties on orders over £135. I’m crossing my fingers for a sale or a UK-based stockist for the new shape boots soon!
