The Highlander 2.0 builds on our original winter model but takes it a step further. Based on customer feedback, we focused primarily on greater thermal comfort, better traction, and protection in winter conditions. The result is a functional winter barefoot shoe for the city, walks in the snow, and light winter hiking. 

• TerrainGrip Outsole – A 9mm flexible outsole (5mm body + 4mm tread) with a deeper tread pattern provides better traction on snow, wet surfaces, forest trails, and unpaved terrain.
• Better Thermal Insulation – The new outsole construction, combined with a 6mm Enduro insole featuring a cork layer, helps insulate the foot from the cold ground while also making each step more comfortable.
• Insulated lining – Soft fur lining enhances thermal comfort when worn in cold temperatures.
• Functional membrane – Combined with a water-repellent upper, it helps prevent moisture and snow from entering the shoe while allowing moisture to escape from the inside. This model is water-repellent, not fully waterproof.
• Durable vegan upper – retains the proven material from the first generation (a vegan leather alternative from Portugal certified by the European Vegetarian Union), which combines light weight, durability, and easy maintenance.
• Higher cut – provides greater protection for the foot and ankle against cold and snow.
• Gusseted tongue – connected to the shoe’s upper on the sides, helping to better prevent snow, dirt, and moisture from getting inside.
• Realfoot Anatomical Shape – the distinctive wide toe box provides ample space for all five toes, including the little toe. The toes can spread naturally and engage actively while walking.

From the very beginning, we designed the Highlander 2.0 to be a truly functional winter barefoot shoe. The combination of a higher cut, insulation, a membrane, a gusseted tongue, and a more pronounced outsole makes it a versatile model for everyday winter wear and outdoor activities. The model is also 100% vegan.
