They felt a little stiff when I tried them on, but when I wore them, it turned out that the size 40-42 is completely small for my foot. The socks are coming off your feet. They are definitely not mid-calf. I can no longer return them, as the packaging is no longer there and they are worn. But it was impossible to reveal this without wearing it.
