About Realfoot Shoes
-
Who Are Realfoot Shoes Designed For?
Simply put, they’re for anyone who wants to experience a natural sense of freedom while walking or playing sports—whether you’re just trying barefoot shoes for the first time or have been wearing them for several years.
-
What materials are used in the production of the shoes?
We use a wide range of materials, from 100% cowhide leather to vegan alternatives, as well as AirNet mesh and textiles.
-
What is the leather alternative in Realfoot vegan shoes made of?
It consists of 90% non-woven polyamide (microfiber base) and 10% PU (nubuck-style finish), which gives it a leather-like appearance.
This material is OEKO-TEX certified for casual, orthopedic, and safety footwear and contains no harmful chemicals. Because it is nonwoven, it does not fray and is much less prone to tearing; it is significantly more durable, softer, and more breathable compared to standard synthetic leather.
-
Where and how are the shoes made?
Realfoot shoes are hand-sewn in European Union countries.
-
What kind of insole comes with Realfoot shoes?
Our shoes automatically come with a removable 4mm STANDARD insole. Our insoles provide excellent cushioning, so they can be considered a good compromise and are perfectly suitable even for non-barefoot enthusiasts.
In addition to the standard insole, you can also purchase the 6mm ENDURO insole with enhanced cushioning and insulation.
-
What type of functional membrane is used in outdoor shoes?
The TE-POR membrane prevents external moisture from penetrating the shoe while allowing the foot to breathe by letting water vapor and sweat from the feet escape. This keeps your feet dry and warm.
-
How durable are the outsoles against wear and tear?
So far, we haven’t had a single case of someone wearing through the outsole of our shoes. Their abrasion resistance is on par with military footwear.
-
Are the shoes wide only in the area of the toes, or throughout the entire shoe?
The shoes are wide only in the toe box, where there’s also more vertical space. The midfoot and heel areas have a standard width.
-
Are Realfoot shoes also suitable for driving for many hours?
Yes, they’re very comfortable for driving.
-
Are the shoes water-resistant?
Our outdoor shoes are water-repellent; they provide some protection against moisture, but they are not completely waterproof.
Choosing Shoes
-
How do I choose the right size?
Measure your foot and check our very clear size size chart.
If you’re between two sizes, we always recommend going with the larger one. Alternatively, you can order both and then return the one that doesn’t fit. After all, it’s a matter of personal preference, since we don’t know whether you prefer more or less room for your toes.
-
Are Realfoot shoes suitable for people with flat feet?
Yes, thanks to the unique shape of our shoes, which gives your toes room while supporting the midfoot and heel, your arch can function as well as it does in any other shoe.
When developing our models, we focus not only on the longitudinal arch (toward the big toe), but also on the transverse arch (which almost no one has fully developed these days) and on the outer part of the longitudinal arch.
-
I have a high instep. Will Realfoot shoes fit me?
Our shoes fit customers with a higher instep as well. They offer more space than standard shoes, even in terms of width across the instep. The best thing to do is simply try them on.
Ordering, Payment, and Delivery
-
What should I do if I didn’t receive a discount code for my first purchase?
Check your email inbox’s Spam or Bulk folder, or the Promotions or Updates tab (Gmail). The email with the code may have been filtered there. If you can’t find it anywhere, please contact us.
-
Can I apply the discount code retroactively, after I’ve paid for my order?
Unfortunately, this isn’t possible; the system cannot apply the discount retroactively. Therefore, always enter the code before confirming and paying for your order.
-
What should I do if my payment didn’t go through the payment gateway?
Sometimes the banking system automatically flags a payment as potentially fraudulent, even though it isn’t. In that case, it will not allow you to complete the payment. Unfortunately, there is nothing we can do about this issue. If this happens, please pay for your order via bank transfer or let us know that you will pay by cash on delivery.
-
Can I change my order after payment?
We process orders automatically. If you make a mistake, you can try contacting us, but we cannot guarantee that we’ll be able to modify the order in time.
-
How quickly will my order be delivered?
Shoes listed as in stock are shipped within 1–2 days of payment so they reach you as quickly as possible. Delivery by courier takes 2–4 business days, depending on the courier’s workload.
If an item is not in stock, we provide an estimated availability date.
-
Can I pick up my order in person?
Unfortunately, that’s not possible; we don’t currently have any pickup locations. You can have your order delivered via Zásilkovna, either to your home or to one of their pickup locations.
-
Will I have to pay customs duties on an order outside the EU?
Yes, if you wish to have your order delivered to a country that is not an EU member, it is possible that the customs office in that country will charge you a customs fee. It is up to you to check with the relevant authorities for more information. We are unable to tell you whether customs duties will be charged or how much they will be, as this varies by country.
Returns and Claims
-
What is the warranty on the shoes?
The warranty on our products is the standard legal warranty, which is 2 years. More information about the warranty and the complaint process can be found in our Terms and Conditions.
-
Can I return or exchange shoes?
Shoes, socks, and accessories purchased from our online store may be returned within 14 days of delivery at your own expense, as required by law. Items must be returned in their original packaging and in unused condition. For more information, please visit this page.
You must include a completed Contract Withdrawal Form. Unfortunately, returns from outside the EU are not possible due to complex customs procedures.
If you wish to exchange shoes, you must first return them following the procedure described above. Then, place a new order for your selected items on our website.
-
Can I return socks that have been unpacked and tried on?
No, within the statutory 14-day period, socks can only be returned for a refund if they are unopened and in their undamaged original packaging.
-
If I buy discounted shoes, can I get the same discount on a different size if the original one doesn’t fit?
If the item is on sale and you’re unsure about the size, we recommend ordering both sizes you’re considering to ensure you receive the item at the discounted price. Once the sale ends, the discount can no longer be applied to new orders, even if they are for the same model.
-
What happens to the item if a return is denied?
We’ll send the item from a rejected claim back to the customer after the shipping fee has been paid.
Shoe Care
-
How should I care for my Realfoot shoes?
For our leather shoes, we recommend using a combination of waterproofing and conditioning spray after removing any dirt. For more information, visit the Shoe Care page.
